NEW SCOREBOARD LIGHTS UP
The new state-of-art LED scoreboard electronic scoreboard at the Pat Wright senior oval shone magnificently on its debut. Not only did the scoreboard look great, but displayed a 125-point winning margin to the Bulls – reflecting a record win against reining premiers Vermont. It went very smoothly and never missed a beat all day. We were especially pleased with the final score showing a win to the Bulls by 125 points. The scoreboard is computer driven by the operator it also displays sponsor and community messages and has a roller shutter to protect it when not in use.
The club would like to thank the Bendigo Bank Dingley, and the Noble Park Football Social Club for making the construction of the new scoreboard possible. The official launch of the new scoreboard was onSaturday May 29th against the Scoresby Football Club.
PRESIDENT'S REPORT AT THE START OF THE SEASON
Firstly, I would like to welcome you all to the 2010 football season.
Preparation for the 2010 season has been second to none. Pre-season training began late last year consisting of eight compulsory and four optional sessions prior to Christmas. It was evident from the numbers at training and the vibe around the club that the players are keen to make amends for last year’s disappointing season and are hungry for success. I urge all members, friends and supporters to get right behind all the players and the club itself this Season.
We have worked hard to secure some quality recruits to bolster our ranks in Tory Dickson, Sam Monaghan, Jarrod Plymin, Lachlan Tindale, and Mark Charles along with the return of Daniel Kennedy, Gavin Vassallo, Daniel Norman and Leighton Ross.
Whilst it “surprising” that couple of players have chosen to leave the club and that is their prerogative, with the addition of these new recruits and the return of players to Noble Park’s already strong list, there is no question the Noble Park Football Club feels confident of making the finals and be a force once again.
The Club is also excited to announce the return and appointments of the following. Mick Fogarty as Senior Coach, Craig Jacotine - Senior playing Assistant Coach, Mark Bressan - Senior Assistant Coach, Rod Clancy - Football Manager, Tony McGarrigle - Senior Runner and Fitness Coach, Neil Walden – Senior Assistant Runner and Stephen Coats - the magnet man, opposition match ups. Andrew Morwood and Mick Rossato as Reserve Coach and Reserves Assistant Coach respectively, after three year stints coaching Oakleigh Districts. Joe Mulholland continues as the Colts Coach, with new assistant Neil Collett. Joe & Neil will be working closely with Mick, Andrew and the coaching panel to deliver a consistent brand of football across all teams. Joe & Neil will focus on the development of our 18’s to ensure that they are prepared for many years of senior football in the future.
If you have some spare time on your hands, or just keen to get involved with supporting the Club, then we would really appreciate your help. If you are interested please contact Rod Clancy on 0419 260792 or Kevin Wright on 0419 562 225.
Keep watching for an update of news and the playing list in the coming weeks.
Thank you to our existing sponsors for their continued support as well the new sponsors looking to be a part of the Noble Park Football Club. Your support is much appreciated by the players, committee and supporters and we hope to see you around the club often.
Finally, we warmly welcome our new players, new families and supporters. We are sure you’ll enjoy your new footy life with the bulls.
Kevin Wright, President
